ヨーロッパにはカミーノと呼ばれる道がある。それは、キリスト教の世界三大聖地の一つで、 12使徒の一人、聖ヤコブが眠るスペインのサンチャゴ・デ・コンポステーラへと続いている。 1000年以上の歴史を持つ巡礼路で、近年再び巡礼者の数が増えている。 私がこの道を歩いたのは2003年8月から9月の夏の1ヶ月間……
　大学では機械が好きだったこともあり、工学部に進学し3年生になっていたが、写真に魅せられ、 カメラマンになりたい。という想いが強くなっていた。しかし、果たして自分が写真という世界で 本当に生きていけるのかどうか、自信がなく、不安で、卒業後の進路に迷っていた。
　だが、ただ迷っていたのでは何も変化しない。自分なりに人々と話をし、写真を撮っていってみよう。 そう思って今まで海外など一度も行ったこともなかったが、アルバイトで貯めたお金と夏休みを使って 巡礼路を歩き、巡礼者の姿を写真として表現しようと考え、私は旅にでた……

There is a way on the Europa, whitch called Camino. The way continues to Santiago de Compostela, that is one of the three biggest sacred place of the world for christian. The way has a history more then 1000year. And in recent years pilgrim who walk on there is increasing.
That is a mounth of summer 2003. when I walked on that way…….
I was a third year student in Univercity on 2003. I study mechanical engineering on there because I like machine. On the other hand, I absorbed in photograph and I gradually improving the wish to become a photographer. But I was not sure that I can live as a phorographer or not. I was not sure whitch way to take.
But there is no change for me with just to worrid about. I decided to start speaking with people and take photograph of them. So I decided to go Camino and express pilgrim as phorograph usnig summer vacation and the money whitch I gain from part time job. Altough I never been to abroad.
